This is the biofeedback component to our clinical practice known as Heartbreath Living.
Using technology to gather basic physiological information such as heart rate and the rate of one’s breathing in a non-intrusive manner, this method of feedback focuses on assisting a client to achieve a calm, focused internal state known as coherence. This type of internal state would be desirable, preferable and would support stress reduction. I consider the learning of this unique type of skill, the synchronization of one’s breath and heart rate to be an integral piece to the unity of mind and body. The addition of this component to our established clinical line of service is an opportunity to expand the quality of care we extend to our clients and add new depth to their change process. |
